Affiliate marketing is the way you get your own personalized product link from the seller to people who are looking for that product. Basically you are the middle man, or woman in this case. So why are these sellers not selling the products themselves? You may ask, and the answer is THEY ARE. But the more people who sell their products out there, the better for them. How much does it cost to become an "affiliate"?
NOTHING. All you do is go to clickbank.com, click on Sign Up (it's on the top of the clickbank screen) and fill in your details. Then go to the tab called Marketplace, look for a product you are interested in marketing and create a "clickbank hoplink". This will give you the unique URL that point to the sales page which will earn you the commission.
How do you decide what product to sell?
When you get your search results, first of all sort them by popularity. This will show you the ones that sell the most. Then there are three key descriptions to look at.
- %/sale: This means the percentage of the price you get per sale.
- %refd: You want this to be as high as possible, this means the amount of sales they get from affiliates, the more the merrier as it means that there is not a small number of affiliates cornering the market.
- grav: Again, you want this to be as high as possible because it means that most of the affiliates get sales from their hoplinks after the person clicks on it.
